This was the story of two half-brothers with an abusive father who beat them and had them stealing. One day the older brother learns that his mother is alive, after the father lied for years saying that she died. The boys head out to find her and along the way they get help for a traveling performer, who takes a liking to the oldest brother. The movie was actually pretty good, although it did take a long time for the two guys to get together, but it was worth the wait.
